　　在敘述故事時(shí)，過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)表示故事發(fā)生的背景情況：

　　It was evening. The sun was setting. Agentle wind was blowing through the trees. In the distance I noticed a Land Rover moving across the dusty plain. It stopped and two men jumped out of it.

　　傍晚，太陽(yáng)快落山了，清風(fēng)從樹(shù)中吹過(guò)。我看見(jiàn)遠處有一輛越野車(chē)在塵土飛揚原野上行駛。車(chē)停了，兩個(gè)人從車(chē)上跳下來(lái)。
