1. 在形容詞最高級前通常應有 the。如：

He is the tallest boy in the class. 他是這個(gè)班最高的。

This computer is the most expensive in this shop. 這種電腦是這家商店里最貴的。

2. 當最高級形容詞用作表語(yǔ)且不帶比較范圍時(shí)，有時(shí)可以不用 the：

This room is (the) best. 這個(gè)房間最好。

但是，當處于表語(yǔ)位置的最高級帶有比較范圍或限定性修飾語(yǔ)時(shí)，其前的the通常不能省去：

This room is the best in this hotel. 這個(gè)房間是這家賓館里最好的。

3. 如果是對同一個(gè)人或事物在不同情況下進(jìn)行對比，那么處于表語(yǔ)位置的最高級形容詞前不能用 the。比較：
